Grace and Rory decided to go for an intimate, backyard wedding rather than the big flashy venue. But! They may have been small(er) on space, but they made up for it with fantastic food, amazing dancing, and smiles as far as the eye could see. These girls get extra credit, because they actually did their OWN hair and makeup! Grace was a little unsure of fake eyelashes, but the resulting photos made them oh so worth it.
A lot (and I mean almost everyone) of the guests were from out East, which is where Rory is originally from. We had some wonderful toasts, some fun Irish drinking songs, a surprise dance by the bridal party to Footloose, and hands down the most seafood (and tastiest) I have ever had at any wedding in my life. The crew from Friends at our Table and Underground Flavour Group really knocked it out of the park here. Oyster bars, lobster rolls, shrimp practically as big as my fist… Well, I could go on but you might as well go see the photos for yourselves.
Through all of this, these two had a love for each other that was apparent to all around. What made this day so special was not just the food, the venue, or the pretty things… It was the very real sense of family and community. It was the way that everyone just rallied together to make the day so special for Grace and Rory. It was watching everyone enjoy themselves and knowing that this right here is what makes a life worth living.
Grace, Rory, thank you for having me along. It was a long day for sure, but it was one I will remember for many years. It was so great to meet Tilley finally and get my puppy fix! And, a special shoutout to Brentwood Livery for giving us a fantastic experience as we travelled to and from our photo place.
All the best to you both! Sláinte!
P.S. Fun fact: In order to get both Grace and Rory to the first look spot on the same limo, Rory actually wore a BLINDFOLD. Seriously.
