What happens when you mix a hike with a couple in love? Magic, that’s what! I have to say, I love it when my couples are game for just about anything, and Kevin and Sarah are no exception to this. I use this one location for a lot of my sessions, and it is so vast and large that you could photograph here a million times and never get bored. The first few photos in this post required us to walk for a solid 10 minutes to get to these fields… But the results were well worth it! Engagement sessions are so fun, because the pressure is off and we are all free to be ourselves. Getting to know my clients is such a fun part of my job, and usually by the end of our engagement session we are BFFs! These two had me laughing so much that it’s a wonder any of these photos were in focus… All kidding aside, it’s always so fun to be able to process images from a session and just KNOW that you captured a couple’s fun personality. Sarah and Kevin were gearing up for the last night of Oktoberfest on the day of our session, and so there were numerous jokes passed between us to encourage them to laugh. I may or may not have belted out Hills Are Alive from the Sound of Music soundtrack which may or may not be evident in one of these photos… I’ll let you see if you can guess which one. Taking my engagement sessions slow is one of my secret recipes to creating magic, because we aren’t rushed and these moments can just develop naturally and without too much awkwardness, which keeps everyone happy and smiling (and makes the time fly by!).
Sarah and Kevin, it was a blast and now I’m even more excited for your wedding next year (I didn’t even think that was possible!).
